George Soros Gives Support to Clinton

George Soros is a Hungarian-born investor, hedge fund owner, philanthropist, and social activist. He is best known for establishing and managing various hedge funds over the past 50 years, which has helped him become one of the wealthiest people in the world with a net worth of over $25 billion.
While he has earned a considerable amount of money over the course of his career, George Soros is also well known for donating a considerable amount of money to charities and various political causes. This past month, Soros has made national news by donating over $6 million in new money to the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Hillary Clinton is currently running against Bernie Sanders in a campaign to earn the Democratic nomination to run for Presidents of the United States. Soros has been a very vocal supporter of her during the primary run thus far. He has stated that he fully stands behind Clinton and has continued to back up his words with his contributions. IN 2015, Soros donated $2 million to various Super PAC organizations that support Clinton.

This is not the first time that Soros has donated heavily towards the U.S. Presidential candidates. In 2012 he gave $1 million to President Obama’s reelection campaign and in 2004 he noticeably gave a considerable amount of money to various Democratic candidates in an attempt to take over the White House from George W. Bush, the incumbent President at the time.

Beyond vocally supporting Clinton, Soros has also been in the news discussing his concern with the various Republican candidates, particularly Donald Trump. He has vocally stated that he is against many of the drastic policies that Trump has discussed thus far, particularly the policy that he wants to put in place when it comes to targeting various religious groups by preventing immigration into the United States.
